Notes:

Normally, I try to put out my monthly playlists on the first of the month, but I tweaked my back building a cat tree, of all things, and couldn’t sit long enough to cobble this one together. Luckily, music is still good 12 days later.

Also, as I did with the more than two years worth of mixtapes before this, I originally had the songs in this playlist carefully ordered by style for flow. It was shaping up to be a good mix UNTIL… I accidentally hit something, and then I accidentally hit something else, and then I hit another couple of things to try to fix what I’d done, and then my whole thoughtfully considered song order was lost. LOST.

In short, the song order is alphabetical by artist this month, because I can’t go through that all again. I just can’t. You’ve seen what the world looks like lately. Last night, Sarah Palin sang Sir Mix-a-lot’s “Baby Got Back” on tv in the middle of a pandemic while we all stress ate through an orange politician’s awkward lies about how everything is actually pretty great. This is 2020. We all need a break. Daði Freyr’s video for “Think About Things” is a counterattack against the frailty-inducing onslaught life can be. Battle shields up!
