Schmutzie's February 2021 Mixtape

February 2021’s mixtape is about 3 hours and 1 minute long and has 49 pop, alternative, jazz, indie rock, indie pop, hip-hop/rap, rock, psychedelic, singer/songwriter, R&B/soul, reggae, and blues songs across 9 decades. 25% of the music is from 2021. This playlist is available on both Spotify and Apple Music, and if you scroll to the bottom, you’ll find embedded widgets you can play right here.

Normally, I put out my playlists within the first couple of days of the month and carefully order the songs so the sound and mood ebbs and flows organically, but I simply could not do it this time. I’ve been rearranging this songs for 19 days, and they just won’t fall into a completed puzzle together, so I’ve come up with an alternative: I’ve ordered them in reverse order according to the year they came out, and then alphabetically within years. It’s actually not the worst.

Music feels good. Enjoy.
